People would be surprised to know… I raised chickens for 8 years.
I consider myself a …compassionate person, a loyal friend and a great cook!

I was raised in Chincoteague, Va in a loving family with wonderful Christian parents. We faithfully attended church and I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior in Vacation Bible School when I was 7 years old. I remained active and plugged into our church as a youth. I attended a local Christian school from 8th – 10th grade and then it closed down, so I went back to public high school where I graduated in 1983.

In April of 1983, I married my high school sweetheart, Louis. We have been blessed with two wonderful sons, Eric and Tyler. Eric serves as a Paramedic in DC and is an amazing father to our granddaughter, Keira. Tyler works in maintenance at Mountaire and his beautiful wife Jessica live in Salisbury with their new baby boy Cecil. Our extended family still resides in Chincoteague, Va. We are so very blessed.

When I’m not working at the church, I especially love spending time with my family – weekend getaways, boating/fishing with my husband, cooking meals for family get togethers, playing with my grandchildren, and doing Mother/Daughter fun activities with my beautiful daughter in law. I also love to read and crochet.

In 1992, my family and I moved to Berlin and became connected to Berlin First Baptist Church and eventually we became good friends with Daryl and Traci McCready. When they were called to become church planters, my husband and I jumped on board and were part of the core team to help plant SonRise. I was hired as Church Secretary in 2003 and then later was promoted to the position of Finance Manager.

Currently, we reside in Ocean Pines, MD where we are enjoying being close to our children, grandchildren and church family.

Over the years, God has blessed me by allowing my path to cross with some very special people thru SonRise Church. I have witnessed His goodness and mercy in so many different ways. I truly love watching the ways in which He works to draw people to Himself and bring them salvation, healing and new found hope thru His son, Jesus.

It has been and continues to be an honor to serve our Savior and the SonRise Church Family. I am looking forward to what God has in store in the days ahead.
