Our greeters and ushers are outgoing folks who provide a Spirit-filled smile so that guests and members feel welcome when entering the house of the Lord. Greeters cheerfully welcome incoming guests and send off outgoing guests, while ushers direct guests to open seats.

Here at SonRise, we love our Sunday morning coffee and breakfast. And it wouldn’t be possible without the hospitality team, who provide warm service, free food, and hot coffee each Sunday. Team members are responsible for setting up, cleaning, and stocking food and beverages.

In our kids ministry, we are living our lives so our children meet Jesus. We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to teach classes, assist teachers, work in the nursery, and check families into Sunday morning classes.

The production team works hard each Sunday to create a great worship experience for both our in-person guests and our online attendees. Serving positions include computer and video operators, sound technicians, camera operators, photographers.

The Refuge Youth Group exists to help students discover who they are in Christ. Youth Group is every Wednesday night from 6-8pm and Sunday morning youth class is during the 10:30am service.  We are always looking for energetic people to build relationships with students and act as teachers and helpers for Wednesday nights, Sunday mornings, or for both!

The “New to SonRise” booth is set up in the lobby each Sunday to create a welcoming atmosphere while giving people who are new here a face and a resource to connect with in a Christ-like way.

The Connect Center, located in the main lobby of SonRise, is the one-stop shop for visitors and members alike to find information about SonRise, get connected to ministries and serving opportunities, and sign up for classes and upcoming events.

The parking ministry exists to extend a welcoming, friendly, first ministry touch to guests while also providing a safe traffic and parking experience. Volunteers in this ministry can act as traffic directors, parking assistants, and shuttle drivers.

Each week we provide bulletins, handouts, and pens on every table in our café-style Worship Warehouse. Servants are needed to resupply tables prior to each service.

SonRise receives donations of bread and other products from local vendors each week for SonRise members to bring home or bring to someone in need! Servants in this ministry are needed to pick up and transport the bread to church during the week and stock the bread cart at Sunday morning services.

The Security Team seeks to provide a safe onsite environment for the community of SonRise.

The mission of the Sharing the Harvest mobile pantry is to bring food and other supplies to the poor, the needy, families in crisis, and people suffering from homelessness in the Worcester County area. This ministry is always looking for delivery loaders and unloaders, truck drivers, and people to work the sign-in table at Sharing the Harvest distributions.

Each week after services end, volunteers are needed to clean up the Worship Warehouse, bathrooms, and foyer in our main building. This brief effort helps our cleaning staff greatly.

The King’s Craftsmen is a group of skilled workers who assist in major construction efforts at SonRise, including remodeling and clearing out older buildings.

SonRise has many opportunities for missions throughout the year, including trips to San Felipe, Guatemala, and partnerships with La Chapelle in Quebec. We also participate in more local missions efforts.

One of SonRise’s core values is PRAYER. We passionately seek God in prayer because prayer changes everything. We strongly encourage everyone to join a prayer group to see the difference it can make when we pray over others and ask them to pray over us.

The Backpack Ministry helps feed children at Buckingham Elementary School and Berlin Intermediate School that may not always have meals available for them after school and on the weekends. Our team includes public relations specialists, shoppers, packers, and delivery drivers.

The Social Media Ministry exists to help people stay connected digitally. Our goal is to be a light in the all of the darkness on social media, connect with people digitally, and to help keep people informed with all the events and opportunities happening at SonRise.
