Lead Pastor

Daryl was born in Crisfield, MD but has lived in Berlin for most of his life. He is the founding Pastor of SonRise Church. He is most passionate about helping people get connected to Jesus, helping them grow to be more like Jesus, and teaching and quipping them to share their faith in Jesus with others. His favorite things are his wife, family, and cooking.  

Executive Pastor 

Carl is originally from Aberdeen, Maryland and started working at SonRise in 2016. He is most passionate about preaching and teaching God’s word. He loves seeing people come to know the saving knowledge of Jesus. Some of his favorite hobbies include cooking, woodworking, and spending time with his wife and kids.  

Worship Pastor

Tim is originally from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and started working at SonRise in July of 2011. He is most passionate about helping to usher people into the presence of God during Praise & Worship & equipping His followers to share their faith in His Son Jesus. In his free time you can find Tim playing sports and spending time with His family.

Finance Manager

Terri is from Chincoteague, Virginia and started working at the church in May of 2003. She has been with SonRise since the beginning and was one of the members of the Church plant team. In ministry she loves seeing how meeting Jesus changes the lives of people time and time again! Her favorite hobbies include fishing and boating with family, Nana and Pop time with her precious grandkids, and cooking meals and enjoying family time together.

Media/Program Director

Jenna grew up in Berlin, Maryland. She graduated from Stephen Decatur High School and Salisbury University. She joined the SonRise staff the Summer of 2007, after volunteering for several years. She is most passionate about learning people’s stories and especially when she has the opportunity to help share those stories with our church. Her favorite hobbies are boating with her family, crafts, and being in bed by 10pm.

Administrative Assistant

Bree is originally from Arizona and started working at SonRise in 2016.  She loves the people at SonRise and serving is one of her biggest passions. She is grateful to be a part of the Church’s faithful work for God’s kingdom. Some of her favorite things are spending time with her husband and 2 daughters, going to the beach, iced coffee, Chick-fil-A, and cooking!

Children's Ministry Director

Heather is from East Hartford, Connecticut. She started working at SonRise in January 2021. She is most passionate about seeing children excited to come to church! Her favorite hobbies are walking, napping, and movie nights with her family.

Media Assistant

Dona is originally from Myerstown, Pennsylvania and started working at SonRise in May of 2015. She is a professional photographer and is most passionate about capturing the events at SonRise. Her favorite events to capture are the baptisms. In her free time you can find her taking pictures of nature in Ocean City or out on the boat with her family.

Property Manager

Neil is from Crisfield, Maryland and started working at SonRise when they purchased the facility in July 2016. He is most passionate about repurposing all of the buildings so the Lord can reach future generations and in doing so getting new folks plugged into the King’s Craftsmen Team. He loves spending time with his grand kids and he also volunteers at Eastern Shore Hall of Fame Museum at Delmarva Shorebirds Stadium.

General Manager of  Open Hand Thrift Store

Traci grew up in Parsonsburg, MD and moved to Berlin in 1995 when she married Daryl. She started working part time in January of 2017 in preparation for opening Open Hand Thrift  on April 1st 2017. She is most passionate about making God known, meeting practical needs, and seizing every opportunity to share the love of Jesus.

Assistant Manager of  Open Hand Thrift Store

Tracy was born and raised in the area of Hershey, PA. She and her husband, Steve, moved to the Berlin, MD area in 2020, right before the Covid lockdown. They found Sonrise and started attending as soon as we were able to meet in person again and fell in love with the church, the people and the community. 
She is most passionate about following Jesus and sharing her story. She found her piece of the puzzle to fit at Open Hand Thrift!! 
Some of her favorite things are spending time with her husband, kids and grandkids, going to the beach, cross-stitching and baking.
